We started supporting startups and guiding entrepreneurs to success over 20 years ago, when our founders were part of the launch of the Sheffield Cultural Industry Quarter, UK leading creative and digital incubator.

Since, we have guided and supported numerous startups and stimulated innovation across various industry sectors, spanning from the UK, to Europe and accession countries. Our team brings together highly experienced international experts from academia and private sector.

Our scientists support startups to address any technical and scientific need and accompany them in successfully implementing their solutions.

In parallel, our pool of practitioners, including consultants, coaches and mentors, advice startups on mastering all those competencies required to grow and commercialise their novel ideas, including business strategy and planning, investors negotiations and pitching, internationalisation / soft landing, IP and legal issues, financial planning and forecasting.

Testimonials

"I have been working with members of this amazing team for four years. The support we have received has been vital to the progression of our startup. This has ranged from initial coordination of academic institutions to conduct consultancy and R&D projects through to raising grant funds from the UK SPINE Knowledge Exchange program (University of Oxford). Not only Alessandro’s team assist in acquiring the funds, but they also deployed their experience in global startup business to conduct an international market analysis and develop our commercialisation strategy. The report produced from this work went on to inform our pitch deck. This deck was used to conduct a successful seed raise valuing the company at £1M. I have no doubt that Athos Medical Technology would not be in the position it is without their support and guidance. We are pleased to continue working closely with Alessandro and his team."

“The challenge of establishing a business is why many of us seek help from outside. Our company, Hemptech Life, needed to develop academic and institutional research and development (R&D) relationships. To do this I reached out to Alex. With his years of work across the business and academic realms, as well as supporting startups and innovation development in the UK, broader continental Europe, and beyond, Alex has been invaluable. He has helped Hemptech Life build a relationship with Leeds University and together we have obtained R&D grants from the United Kingdom government enabling us to forward our ‘food and nutrition of the future’ applied research. Alex is the reason why Hemptech Life is now moving from a startup with an idea to a business with an exceptional new solution ready to seek private investment.”

We met Alex one and half years ago, when he startup mentoring Cinteraction as part of Rising Stars Program. Since, our company has undergone very exciting developments, not only in Serbia but also internationally. Among the main achievements of the past 12 months, MALTAccelerate team gave us invaluable advice on entering the European market, has developed a sound financial plan, and created a partnership with the University of Malta, with whom we have joined forces to conduct R&D and MVP piloting, still under Alex’s guidance. Last but not least, thanks to MALTAccelerate advice and support, in June 2023 we have managed to secure considerable funding from EIT Digital to boost our R&D and be in a position to have our solution ready for the market by next spring. We will continue collaborating with MALTAccelerate and no doubt grow and succeed with the support and advice of its exceptional team.

Back in 2011 we were ready to scale up our operations so we engaged Alessandro to support our international expansion. His vast experience in international market entry and business development was essential to our global growth. Alex conducted an extensive market analysis of our target markets, in Europe and beyond, identified suitable channels to market and potential clients. He then implemented the international business development plan and developed export sales in Sweden, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Azerbaijan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco. The vast clients’ database developed by Alex boosted our exports by more than double over 3 years, giving us extra chances to become the European leading player in rubber waste recycling and circular economy.
