Initiative supported by the European Commission and implemented by Barrabés.biz, Energy Cities, Eurada, ECSA and Eurocrowd. Aligned with the European knowledge valorisation policy and the European Missions, particularly the Mission on Climate Neutral and Smart Cities and the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, its goal is to facilitate a competition to valorise knowledge and the collaborative creation of technologically and socially innovative solutions by teams of citizens and researchers to address climate challenges.

Responsibilities:
Planned and implemented the first-ever Climate Hackathon in Malta and Cyprus. Entrepreneurs, citizens and researchers joined forces to develop new solutions to address climate issues that the island is facing. The Malta team was selected for the finals in Brussels.
Specific responsibilities:
- Coordination and management of the hackathon, ensuring efficient execution of the event.
- Provision of experienced facilitators who will actively participate throughout the entire duration of the hackathon, offering valuable guidance and assistance to participants.
- Act as an ambassador of the initiative and disseminate information about the hackathon.
- Engage with local authorities and government agencies to secure their support and involvement in the hackathon, fostering partnerships and official backing for the initiative.
- Recruiting participants, researchers, and experts, actively contributing to the diverse and skilled pool of individuals involved in the hackathon.
- Define challenges, providing local insights and expertise to ensure the relevance and impact of the hackathon in the community.
