It has been set up as part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), the EIT Community’s outreach scheme, introduced in 2014 to make information and expertise from its unique approach available to others. The EIT Urban Mobility Hub in Malta shares good practice and experiences in order to widen participation of Maltese stakeholders across Europe.

EU Sparks for Climate – Citizens Hackathon Championship

Initiative supported by the European Commission and implemented by Barrabés.biz, Energy Cities, Eurada, ECSA and Eurocrowd. Aligned with the European knowledge valorisation policy and the European Missions, particularly the Mission on Climate Neutral and Smart Cities and the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, its goal is to facilitate a competition to valorise knowledge and the collaborative creation of technologically and socially innovative solutions by teams of citizens and researchers to address climate challenges.

The main objective of the project was to forward the R&D, create suitable strategy and enable the implementation of relevant activities with a view to ensure long term sustainability, exploitation and commercialization of the solution developed by Abodoo (Ireland). Their leading-edge AI-driven solution aims at promoting skills mobility are accreditation and certification of skills coupled with a universal language that captures the same skill or job role regardless of geography.

CORE is a breakthrough AI-driven soil analysis and crop forecasting solution developed by Smart Cloud Farming (Germany).
