strengthen the pipeline of women entering the sustainable economy arena.

Maritime Innovation for Smart Specialisation in the Western Mediterranean: MED-Hubs is embarking on a 2-year journey to accelerate sustainable blue growth in the Western Mediterranean. Co-funded under EMFAF-2025-PIA-FLAGSHIP (Topic I3), the consortium will operate two interregional innovation hubs: one in Spain focused on marine renewable energy, and one in Italy focused on sustainable fisheries and aquaculture.

MALTAccelerate, in collaboration with EIT Food, a Knowledge Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) – a body of the EU, recently hosted the AgriFood Entrepreneurs Day. Held at DiHubMT, the event brought together Maltese and International innovators and entrepreneurs to explore new ideas and collaborations and learn more about how to access EU and Maltese funding opportunities in the AgriFood sector.

BioBright, winner of the Island Solutions Showcase at VIS2025, is turning ports into climate solutions. Their breakthrough AI-driven solution improves air and water quality through a dual system of algae cultures and a real-time monitoring system, saving them up to £50 million per port in annual government fines.
