It was an honour to join the WestMED National Event Italy–Malta (Rome, 11–12 June, 2026) and a real pleasure to join the “TRL 8-9 Project Adopters” panel, and to represent the MED-Hubs consortium.

The 6th International Workshop on Marine Litter Monitoring, Removal and Blue Circular Economy, organised by Venice Lagoon Plastic Free, was part of the EU Mission Ocean and Waters initiative and brought together a considerable number of delegates from academia, European Commission, regional and local governments, private sector and NGOs, despite the public transport national strike.

EVEN CLOSER landed in Brussels for the EIT RawMaterials Summit 2026, and the room was listening. The Investor Day brought together founders, investors and policymakers across the full raw materials value chain, and the response to our vision and to the European Circular Economy Challenge was strong.
