MIMCOL and MALTAcceleraate signed an MOU to frame their collaboration and integrate the SeedInvestment Scheme within the Malta ClimAccelerator program.

Having established the alignment between the Seed Investment Scheme’s goals and the Malta ClimAccelerator objectives, this collaboration creates a robust framework to foster innovation and stimulate startups’ growth.

MIMCOL has been closely monitoring the significant strides and impactful activities led by MALTAccelerate in fostering innovation and supporting the growth of startups in Malta, recognising the Maltese accelerator’s commitment to cultivating the development of a vibrant ecosystem via propelling high growth startups towards success.

The Seed Investment Scheme has proved to be a catalyst for startups development. It offers incentives in the form of tax credits to investors who invest in a qualifying startup incorporated in Malta.

“We look forward to the prospect of working hand-in-hand with MALTAccelerate to enhance the success of Malta’s startup ecosystem” (Mr. J. Gatt, CEO, MIMCOL).

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – (African Proverb).

Great start of the year Smart Cloud Farming (SCF)! The deeptech venture and MALTAccelerate succeeded in securing a sizable R&D grant with EIT Digital via joining forces in the C.O.R.E. project. C.O.R.E. is an advanced deep learning algorithm that both reduces the complexity and increases the speed and reliability of soil carbon monitoring and verification.

Learning from satellite inputs, meteorological data, and soil datasets, it supports and guides sustainable land management, carbon farming, and regenerative agriculture practices.

The grant will enable SCF to accelerate their R&D and be ready for global sales by mid-year. EIT Digital support world-class digital DeepTech activities developed by ventures demonstrating market and investor traction and can leverage the program to boost their growth even further.
